2.6M Stanley cups recalled after 91 incidents and 38 injuries worldwide.

Stanley has issued a recall for 2.6 million Switchback and Trigger Action travel mugs due to a burn hazard. The lids can shrink when exposed to heat and torque, causing them to detach during use. This defect has led to 91 reports of incidents and 38 burn injuries worldwide.

The recall affects mugs sold between June 2016 and December 2024, available in various sizes and colors. Stanley is offering free replacement lids to affected consumers. Customers are advised to stop using the recalled mugs immediately and contact Stanley for a replacement.

The company is committed to improving product safety and ensuring customer satisfaction. Consumers can check if their mugs are part of the recall by visiting Stanley’s website and entering the product identification number printed on the bottom of the mug.

This recall serves as a reminder of the importance of product safety and the need for vigilance in using everyday items. Stanley’s proactive approach aims to prevent further injuries and maintain consumer trust.
