What boy, 10, screamed as brother was decapitated on ‘world’s tallest waterslide’

In 2016, 10-year-old Caleb Schwab tragically lost his life on the Verrückt waterslide at Schlitterbahn Waterpark in Kansas City, which was the world’s tallest water slide.

During his ride, Caleb was ejected into the netting, hitting a metal pole, and was decapitated on impact.

His 12-year-old brother Nathan, waiting at the bottom, screamed for help, telling their parents, “He flew from the Verrückt.”

The tragic incident led to a settlement with the park’s previous owners. The slide was closed, and the park itself shut down in 2018.

Schlitterbahn Waterparks expressed deep regret, emphasizing their commitment to safety. The tragedy remains a heart-wrenching reminder of the risks involved with such attractions.
