It’s Confirmed

Jim Carrey recently announced plans to retire from acting, feeling he’s accomplished enough in his career. While promoting Sonic the Hedgehog 2, Carrey shared he’s ready for a quieter life focused on painting and personal peace.

Dolly Parton’s suggestion that he play Porter Wagoner in her biopic flattered him, but he confirmed retirement unless a truly special role comes along.

Reflecting on friend Bob Saget’s passing, Carrey attended the memorial, noting surprise at its release as a Netflix special. Fans hope he might one day return to the screen, but his films continue to bring joy to viewers worldwide.
