Richard Goodall Has Big America’s Got Talent Advantage
The finalist with the biggest chance to win America’s Got Talent next week is singer Richard Goodall. While many finalists seem a better fit to win the big prize and get the Las Vegas stage show, Goodall has something none of them have. He has a huge online following.
Goodall is a high school janitor who seems to be someone everyone at home can relate to. On his way to the AGT finals, he has sung covers from Journey, Survivor, and Michael Bolton. In the finals, he sang Journey’s “Faithfully.” He now gets a rare chance in the season finale to perform with Journey playing behind him.
If you head over to the AGT YouTube page, you will see a huge difference between Goodall and the rest of the finalists. Many people are cheering for Roni Sagi and her dog Rhythm to win. Their final performance has 444,000 views. Brent Street turned in another amazing dance number, but they only have 202,000 views.
Richard Goodall’s cover of “Faithfully” in the finals has 1.8 million views. It is the same on Facebook. Comedian Learnmore is more popular there than on YouTube, and his final performance has 582,000 views. Goodall’s final song has 1.4 million Facebook views. Taking those two social media platforms alone, 3.2 million people have watched Goodall’s performance.
Richard Goodall Has Had A Good Week Already
If he does win America’s Got Talent, it will cap off an amazing week for the “singing janitor.” Richard Goodall married his fiancée, Angie Vanoven, in California just days before singing in the finals. They are now known to the world as Richard and Angela VanGoodall.
The competition is fierce. On top of Roni Sagi and Rhythm, Learnmore, and Brent Street, other finalists include Sky Elements, AIRFOOTWORKS, Dee Dee Simon, Kardinaly, and Sebastian & Sonia.
The live finale with the voting results is on Tuesday, September 24, at 8/7c on NBC.
