Cher, 77, explains why she dates younger men

Hard to believe with a woman so iconic as Cher, right?

These days though, the star is enjoying her time with record executive Alexander ‘AE’ Edwards, who is 39 years her junior.

The songstress stated that she prefers to be with men younger than her due to the fact that they’re more willing to date women that are strong and independent.

“I would rather date men from later generations, who ‘were raised by women like me’ and were therefore never scared of me,” she said, before specifying: “And the reason I got with young men is because men my age or older – well, now they’re all dead.

“But before they just never, they were always terrified to approach me,” she concluded.

But not Edwards though.

The pair have had a rollercoaster of a relationship ever since they were romantically linked back in 2022 after meeting at Paris Fashion Week.

While they did have a little hiccup in May 2023, it seems as though the superstar couple have managed to put their problems to the side and continue with their relationship as of September 2023.

Cher has previously spoken about her love for the 38-year-old, stating that his sense of humor – among a handful of other things – keeps her hooked.

“He’s kind, smart, hilarious… and we kiss like teenagers,” she responded to a fan’s inquiry about their intimate relationship on social media.

Initially, fans were concerned about this newfound love after it was revealed that the producer had cheated on his ex, Amber Rose, whom he shares a son with – Slash Electric Alexander Edwards.

However, the 77-year-old put those worries to rest the only way she knows best: Iconically.

“I’m in love, not blinded by it,” she said.

How can you not love Cher?
