When Gerald McRaney first met actress Delta Burke, he was eager to ask her out. Even though he knew he had competition because of her fame, McRaney was determined to win her over. They connected immediately, and on their second date, he proposed. They officially married two years later in 1989, and McRaney was thrilled to marry his dream girl.
While Burke was starting her first marriage, McRaney had been married twice before. Despite some friends doubting their future, McRaney was committed to making this marriage work.
